The Newcomer: Okeechobeefest
For those who like to discover the newest, hottest thing, there’s a new kid on the music festival block this season. Okeechobeefest sits right outside the town of Okeechobee, Florida on 800 acres of undeveloped land and has over 80 bands and DJs performing, with five stages to choose from. You can catch sets from Mumford & Sons, Kendrick Lamar, Odesza, Fetty Wap, and more.

The Most Intimate: Timber!
Are you a social butterfly? Do you enjoy the great outdoors? Good news, Timber! Outdoor Music Festival is perfect for you. This three-day festival is nestled in the beautiful and intimate Tolt-MacDonald Park in Carnation, WA. Get to know fellow outdoor and music enthusiasts in the intimate camp grounds and bond over a variety of activities like hiking, kayaking, star-gazing, and so much more.

The Best All Around: SXSW
If you want to see it all and do it all, then South by Southwest (SXSW) is the well-rounded fest for you. This annual festival has something for everyone, including film, music, and interactive media. Events range from performances to exhibitions to parties, and everything in between. It doesn’t hurt that Austin, TX has one of the best food and bar scenes in the country.

What To Wear: the “Willa Canvas” boot.

The Veteran: Coachella
The OG of music festivals; Coachella is for those who value the tried, tested, and true. It’s been around since 1999 and is still a favorite for all kinds of music lovers. Between two mountains in Indio, CA is the Coachella Valley, which is how the festival got its name almost 20 years ago, bringing diverse lineups since day one.

What To Wear: the “Alaric” desert boot.

The Most “Far Out”: Electric Forest
If neon and glow-in-the-dark colors are your best friends then Electric Forest is where you belong. Set in a decked out forest outside of Rothbury, MI with over 100 performers and lots of trippy lights, this festival is made for the eclectic, rave-loving, music aficionado.

What To Wear: the “Colorado Flowers” boot.

The Hipster: XOXO Festival
If Portlandia was a festival, this would be it. Right in the heart of Portland, OR is an interactive conference, music, and film festival.  Said to be the next SXSW but in a more intimate setting and with less overlapping events; XOXO is great for those who want to explore beyond the mainstream.
