Classic boots with a twist Classics are classics for a reason, and they can spawn endless variations while keeping true to their identities. The CAT Colorado and its new colors are no exception. I fell in love immediately with the Evening Blue and Red, but never got to buy them - until exactly four days ago, in the CAT brick-and-mortar store in the Dubai Mall. While the Evening Blue wasn't available, I was able to get a brother, the so-called "Limoges" color (named after the shade of the ceramic from the French city of the same name), which depending on the angle and the lighting can appear from baby blue to evening blue and everything in between. (It's a good thing, trust me.) Three points I noticed almost right away: One, unlike my Second Shifts, they felt a size too big, so instead of an 8 US Men's, I had to get a 7 US Men's. Technically, my foot is a 7, but I wear 8 for boots; nevertheless, these babies in 8 were too much. Two, these are real LIGHT and damn comfortable. These boots feel like air, especially compared to my Timberland boots, and even my Second Shifts and Dr. Martens. I can say they're the most comfy of all my boots, and this is already with insoles in my Timbs! I've already driven both a manual and an automatic in them (one of my litmus tests for comfort), and they are a pleasure to wear so much so that the only thing stopping me from living in them is the fact that I'm at home, and that I need to air them regularly to extend their lives. Three, they are STYLISH. I do wish the eyes and "Caterpillar" logo were in gold or yellow rather than gray and blue, but other than that, they are mighty handsome. I replaced the gray laces with the brown-and-yellow of Timbs, and they do add a cool twist to your style. Best worn with jeans, they're easy to pair with the colors I normally wear - blue, khaki, red, green, and white. And depending on how you complete your outfit, these can be dressed up or dressed down - put on a sports coat and you can be hipster in the office, put on a sexy T-shirt and you can vamp up your errands look. I'd even dare wear them with shorts, perhaps worn a little loosely. I do hope that the lightness doesn't translate to poor quality; one reason I patronize CAT is because of their toughness (especially the Goodyear welt!) and I expect to get a decade or two from these - in style, comfort, and practicality to boot! (Pun intended.)

Tough boot Owned for several years, only use during the Fall & Winter. I have never polished or waxed boots & they are u-insulated. However in snow & rain they are totally waterproof and with wool socks my feet never get cold or wet. Only minor issue is that soles get hard in the cold and tend to slip on the ice. BUT if you are careful.......you'll have no problems. If they EVER wear out, I'll buy another pair. I rated comfort as good only because they are heavy. Heavy though is what you need in case you drop something like a 2-ton capacity jack.

very good work boot I have purchased these boots for the past 4 pairs in 5 years, my last pair did not last as long but with all products there is going to be some that do not, these books work well with the job I do as a food delivery driver, and truck driver,
