We might have wrapped up at SXSW last week but we’re still bursting with Michigan pride from the amazing experience in Austin, TX with our fearless partner Michigan House.

The first few days at the downtown Austin venue were filled with music, cocktail parties, a SXSW panel discussion, and, of course, food! The #MakeAScene Re-Boot Lounge in the hospitality area was the place to be, with festival goers looking to connect, regroup, and recharge (literally with CAT battery packs and metaphorically with our zen vibes).

However no trip, whether business or pleasure, is complete without a buzzing Sunday brunch. Alongside the incredible team over at Michigan House and Middle West, we got together with panelists and sponsors at the first Michigan House Austin location from 2015 for a delicious and boozy backyard Sunday in the Southern Texas sun.

Our last day in Austin was “jam-session” packed. We kicked it off at Stay Gold with a music discussion (and some Michigan brews) alongside Michigan House and Local Spins. Then we spent the night at the Michigan House Music Showcase with fellow sponsors Founders Brewery and AMI Jukeboxes to show off the musical stylings of Michigan-based bands like Flint Eastwood, O N E F R E Q, Stef Chura, The Go Rounds, and Michigander.

Now we’re just counting down the days until our next bold adventure.
