We had just purchased a piece of property in TN and I needed a new pair of boots. I purchased these boots in 2001 and if you saw them now you'd be shocked. They are shredded and beat up. They've been through all kinds of weather, all types of construction, all kinds of painting, three house remodels and they out lasted a marriage. I thought these boots are going to last forever but last month the arch went soft on me, I could feel it. These boots were my best friend throughout all these years. I'm going to give them a good burial believe me if you saw them no one would want them"the steel toes are exposed as the leather is worn" So the first thing i did was look up your site. I saw a whole line of boots and in a few days I'm heading out to buy not one but a few different styles. Love the boot...
CatFootwear's Reply: Wow, if those boots could talk! We'd love to see a picture of the old favorites and the new replacements before you've given them a good burial! Feel free to post of Facebook & thanks for choosing Cat boots.

I bought a pair of Caterpillar #89407 boots in 1996 for light construction and yard work when I bought my house. These are the main boots that I wear when doing chores around the yard, working in the garage or when riding my motorcycle. These boots get hard use several days each week and I am now in my 18th year of wear. I would not like to purchase a new black pair for motorcycle use only. The Second Shift boot #P89586 seems to be the closest thing available to my original Caterpillar boots. If I can still get the #89407, please let me know. Otherwise, I will order another pair of the #P89586. Thank you for a five-star boot.
CatFootwear's Reply: Thanks for your review! The P89407 is no longer available on our website but may still be found at retailers that carry Cat Footwear. Please call our customer service team with any questions or to place your order 866-699-7375.

I have had these shoes for about 2 months now and i love them. I have dropped an oxygen tank once and the shoes took the full impact no problem. We were at a call one time were a little girl no older than 9 was trapped in side a very hot car. We did not have time for the firefighters to assist us in getting in so i was able to use the steel toe boot to shatter the glass. When this was all over with and i was sitting in the ambulance i look at my shoe and nothing but a small dent was in them. Thank you cat for making your products so dependable.
