Comfy and adorable! - by , Jan 20, 2020
5/ 5 Stars
I was a devotee of a certain "yellow-stitched Doctor" for years. But my last pair unfortunately fell apart just weeks after buying them. I opted for these as my next work boots. I was pleasantly surprised at how supportive they are, especially in the heel (I have high arches and put most of my weight on my heels). I haven't worn them for work yet, but based on my experience, I can tell these will reduce leg fatigue. As far as aesthetics go... While they lack my beloved yellow stitches and aren't the iconic brand loved by punks, they're adorable! The flannel cuff and the low profile sole are stylish and cute, without being overly girly. Where size is concerned, I got my normal size 9, and they fit pretty well out of the box. There's a little bit of snugness on the top of the foot, but I think that'll go away as they're broken in.

Pretty good work boots - by , Sep 26, 2019

I purchased the boots a few weeks ago so I haven't used them much, but I have some observations already. When they arrived, they looked as expected besides the fact that they came a bit worn-looking. The stitching had some minor issues and the sides of the boots looked scuffed and scratched right out of the box. The sizing was pretty good, I have slightly wide feet so I got that version which is comfortable. They're a little longer than expected, but it works with thick socks. I expected the cuff to be comfortable on skin, but it is pretty irritating/scratchy, so I need to wear long socks since I don't usually tuck my dress pants into them. They're very light and easy to wear compared to other steel-toe shoes I've worn, plus they're much more feminine-looking without being a distracting color.

Narrow Profile boot and stitching painful in places - by , Sep 18, 2019
4/ 5 Stars
I am still in the breaking in process so grain of salt on this one. I read another review that said these were narrow boots so I ordered the wide. I do not normally wear wide shoes, but the wide seems to fit like a regular boot. I also ordered a half size up which worked out well. The stitching on the left boot where the tongue of the boot is attached rubs horribly on the top of my foot. So much so that I have a blister. I am hoping it will stretch just a bit over time. The right boot fits like a dream and is beyond comfortable. I am an Inventory Clerk for a small warehouse and am often on my feet for a full 8-10 hours. I have had boots similar before and never had one rub like this. I have only had them about a week and so far it has been a dream on the right and a nightmare on the left. The boots are beyond cute. I am hoping it will get better over time.

Looks good, fits terribly. - by , Jun 07, 2019

I have been trying to break in these boots for 4 years. After being so frustrated and in pain, I took a break, came back to them this week and still no luck. I have tried loose and tight laced, lacing techniques, different socks, moleskin and duct tape, a larger size... and still I get blisters on my heels, slightly on pinky toes, and pain on the bridge (top) with every step. I feel that the problem is the sharpness of the seams inside which dig in and target certain areas. Mostly it's that there is no place for the heel to rest. The boots are very stiff in the box (naturally), but never break in to allow a comfortable bend in the ankle, causing the heel to slip, and blisters form. I cannot get the top laced tight enough to bring the back in and form around the heel. I have defined calves and ankles, but the boot is not adjustable to hug and support the ankle and heel. If you have cankles, this boot might work for you. The boots are narrow and you can definitely feel the edge of the steel toe inside. The laces and hooks are mostly functional and the top height is appropriately above the ankle. The insoles are comfortable and fit well in the boot. I have not been able to wear them long enough to know if my foot is well-supported or if the sole prevents joint pain. I was very excited to own this style, but it's not worth the pain and discomfort.

The Only Work Boot You Need - by , Apr 20, 2019

Aside from these shoes’ extremely high comfort level and the number of compliments I get on them, my favorite part about wearing them is that they sealed the deal with me and my now hubby! Buying these shoes was my “I’m all in” moment with him, proving I was willing to venture into the unknown world of construction and renovation with him and build a life together doing it. His face when I showed up to a job site in these, was (no lie) more ecstatic than when I agreed to marry him! Thank y’all!

Comfortable, Cute, and Protective - by , Apr 12, 2019

My Cat Kenzie’s were super comfy right out of the box! The width is perfect and the plaid cuff is nice and soft. They are also pretty light weight. The cuff and the shape have a nice feminine look. Can (and do) wear them outside of the workshop. They are also tough. As a welder, my environment involves flames, sparks, and hot metal. These boots do a great job protecting my feet from burns and crush hazards. I love these boots! The only tough decision was black/blue or bark/red...
