Possibly great boots - by , Sep 27, 2018

These appear to extremely well made boots, the high quality is very apparent, the stitching, the outsole, the materials are on par with other more expensive work boots. However, and this is a second pair of pull on boots from Cat that I try to buy, I just can’t pull them on, The boot opening is really narrow and while they are my size my instep would not let me pull them on. I have 4-5 pairs of Cat footwear but I guess their put-on boots are not for me or for anyone with a high instep.

I really like the look and the "broke-in" feel of this Edgework 2.0 boot. They are lighter than most steel toes I compared them with and they hold up well to oil and machining coolant from my job as a machinist. My biggest complaint would be the inside heel slippage due to boots seemingly run big in size? The heel portion of the boot wears holes in my socks from rubbing. Perhaps I'll try a half size smaller than I normally wear next time. I wear a size 9, but feel as though a 8.5 wide would fit more accurately. I just can't find that size in my local area to try on. Overall It's a really nice boot.
