For four days of SXSW, Michigan House transformed an East Austin residence into a beautiful pop-up space for Michigan made art, design, food, and music to celebrate the state we call home, and we just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make a scene.

Once we picked a date, we packed our bags (and booze) and headed to Austin to host an epic #MakeAScene party during SXSW.

The day started with some laidback vibes while guests played yard games, colored some fun images, and worked on a 4×8 paint-by-number designed by Detroit-based graffiti artist Antonio Agee (@Shadesdet), while enjoying drinks sponsored by Tequila Cabresto and Founders Brewing Company.

At dusk, we kicked off the silent disco that was DJ’d by Michigan natives Complete Vii and Erno the Inferno from the lighthouse in the backyard. Headphones went so quickly that friends were stealing them from each other!

We kept the good times going and the drinks flowing while guests continued to make a scene throughout the night–complete with an augmented reality photo booth that had changing backgrounds!
