Find style and strength in a work boot made just for women. With a plaid covered cuff, this work boot has all the appeal of a trendy combat boot with the durability of a classic, 6” work boot. Made with industrial work applications in mind, this steel toe boot is engineered using Cat Footwear’s patent-pending iTechnology® construction, offering work boot durability with athletic shoe comfort. It also features the time-proven strength of Goodyear welted construction in the forepart, and an EVA heel cup which provides cushioning shock absorption where you need it most. It meets the needed safety requirements with a steel toe and electrical hazard protection but is designed to be stylish as well. It’s built to the Cat standards of durability and comfort, and the rubber outsole is slip-resistant to meet the needs of a messy worksite. Good for short use I needed steel toe shoes for a one-time visit to an industrial site. I usually wear a 7.5M, but after reading reviews that the shoe ran small, I played it safe and ordered an 8W. When I received them, I recognized some of the issues that other commenters had complained about: thin sole and hard heel. The 8W fit me pretty well because I was wearing thick socks (though I probably would have been ok with a 7.5W or 8M, too). The inside of the shoe where your heel rests is the strangest part: it's rock hard, no cushion. Even with socks, it was hurting the back of my heel, but I put a little padding at the back and they were better. The shoes felt good on the day I needed them. The site I visited had clean flat floors (no rough terrain) and I found that I had no problem walking and standing for over four hours in my new shoes. I will only be using them infrequently, but I can see how they may not be suited for everyday use.

Wear with thick socks There's no padding at the heel for some reason, and the heel is structured in a way that will cause the back of the boot to rub against your foot and leg. I wore these with the thickest pair of wool socks that I had and didn't get blisters. Make sure the socks are tall, otherwise the rough canvas material will also be uncomfortable. With the proper socks, these boots are okay but could be redesigned to be better.

So far I bought a half size down because I have narrow feet and they fit fine. I am still breaking them in but it seems comfy so far. There is an odd pressure in the back of my heel(not under) but I have yet to wear them for any length of time.

Uncomfortable, but Cute My experience with these boots has not been a positive one. I ordered them because they are some of the only fashionable steel-toe boots for women out there. I only need to wear them once a week for work, but even that has proven to be impossible. The first day I wore them, I had a hole about 2-in. in diameter on the back of my heel where a blister had formed and burst already. For the next week, the area was inflamed and sensitive to the touch. It was painful to walk, and I could not wear any shoes with a back. By the next time I had to wear the boots, it was mostly healed up so I tried wearing them again. They were painfully rubbing again, and this week the entire shoe felt too narrow. I've decided that, even though I ordered a wide in my normal size, they are simply too small. I need to try a different pair. I would try to order them a size up, but they are and continually have been out of stock in that size. Even though my experience has not been great, I still recommended this product because, if you have smaller feet and can find the size that fits you the best, they are the cutest pair on the market.

Way too narrow and uncomfortable Although very cute. This boot is unbelievably uncomfortable and narrow. I have normal width feet and found this squeezing my feet in very tight. I also tried the wide option and it wasn't any better. The material of the boot looks cheap in all honesty. My husband even noticed, telling me they look really uncomfortable. Which they were. Honestly. The only pros are the girly style at the top and that they are waterproof as well as non slip and steel toe. I found a very cute women's boot (shockingly more comfortable then my everyday shoes) for $70 at academy and they look so much nicer, made of a nice leather and have really lasted through some tough long work days.
