Work

Let’s pause on National Beer Day and agree that there’s not much better after a hard days work than tipping back a few with some pals. I know…terribly controversial that statement. But what about the folks that are putting in the hard days work to brew that beer?

A few weeks back the Cat Team decided to send some work footwear to Founders Brewing Company in Grand Rapids, MI to let them do some Wear Testing. If you’ve ever tried to home-brew you know it ain’t easy, and when you’re the fastest growing craft brewery in the U.S. it’s straight-up hard work. Founder’s, who brew All Day IPA and Kentucky Breakfast Stout among many others, runs three shifts and they still can barely keep up with demand.

Mike is a Lab Tech on the third shift. He spends his nights all over the brewery – testing, checking, and making sure everything is reacting as it should. We gave him Streamline CT because it’s light and comfortable, but still has a composite toe protection.

Our second Wear Tester is Abby. She’s a welder/fabricator and she also make metal art in her spare time. Founder’s is growing at such a pace that she’s constantly building news racks and rails for the ever expanding facility. She chose Echo ST because not only do they meet her safety needs, but they meet her safety needs and look good doing it. See her review below:

So next time you’re tipping back your after work beer remember the hard working folks behind the brew…and remember the boots that get them through the day.
