Inspired by a group of students who built Habitat for Humanity homes instead of the traditional college Spring Break, members of the US-based Cat Footwear team spent a day of their recent 2-day sales meeting building homes near the Rockford, MI corporate offices. “We make work boots so it made sense that we volunteered our time with Habitat for Humanity,” said Rob Koenen, Vice President and General Manager. The team spent the day framing and putting up vinyl siding on two Grand Rapids area homes.

While many of their friends were likely headed for warm beaches, this group of students from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design had other ideas. Sporting boots donated by Cat Footwear, these kids spent their Spring Break working for Habitat for Humanity to build a house for an underprivileged family. Cat Footwear is proud to have had the opportunity to work with Habitat for Humanity and this group of students on giving back to their community!

Tom Hunt, a musician from Hempstead, England, recently made his first skydive while on vacation in New Zealand. He is wearing our Corax style in Dark Brown. Cat Footwear is proud to be a part of Tom’s vacation memories!

On Sunday, Jeff Burton will debut the No. 31 Caterpillar Chevy in the Daytona 500. Cat Footwear is a proud sponsor of Burton and is looking forward to the 2009 racing season. Going to the race?
